Where AI fits in a business workflow
A useful AI pilot begins with a defined task, not a broad promise to automate everything.
Choose a bounded task
Look for repeated work with a clear input and an output a person can review: classifying requests, searching approved documentation or preparing a first draft. Describe what a successful result means before building.
Review data and permissions
Identify which documents and systems the assistant needs. Limit access to that scope and decide where a human approves an action. Keep sensitive information out of tools that have not been approved for it.
Measure before expanding
Use a small evaluation set and review errors as well as useful results. Compare the workflow with the existing process, including review time. Expand only when the team can understand and manage its behavior.
