Planning a website your team can maintain
A maintainable website starts with decisions about content and ownership, before a theme is selected.
Define the content model
Separate services, articles, projects and reusable page components. Give each item fields that describe its purpose, rather than asking editors to reproduce a complete page inside one rich-text field.
Make publishing responsibilities clear
Decide who writes, translates, reviews and publishes. Permissions and workflow should follow those responsibilities. Include image descriptions, headings and internal links in the review.
Plan for change
Keep configuration changes in version control and test updates before deployment. Agree on backups, release checks and who maintains dependencies. A clear handover should explain both content editing and the next development steps.
